Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a Real Estate Finance Associate with 2–3 years of experience to join its New York office. This role involves representing institutional lenders, including commercial banks, insurance companies, and private debt funds, in financing transactions involving commercial real estate assets. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in real estate due diligence and loan origination, with additional experience in mezzanine financing or securitization viewed as a plus.

Duties:
Represent lenders in commercial real estate financing transactions
Review and analyze title insurance, surveys, leases, and other due diligence materials
Draft and negotiate loan documents and closing deliverables
Manage loan originations secured by various types of commercial real estate assets
Support transactions involving mezzanine loans, syndications, and CMBS structures
Collaborate with partners, clients, and opposing counsel to ensure smooth closings
Requirements:
2–3 years of experience in commercial real estate finance
Experience representing banks, insurance companies, debt funds, or other institutional lenders
Proven ability to manage complex due diligence and transaction logistics
Familiarity with securitization and syndicated loan structures is preferred
Education:
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited . law school
Certifications:
Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission
Skills:
Strong legal drafting and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deal timelines
Effective communication and client service orientation
Comfortable handling both senior and mezzanine financing structures
Collaborative, responsive, and solution-driven work style
