Job Title: Senior Litigation Docketing Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Litigation Docketing Specialist will report to the Litigation Docketing Manager and is responsible for providing multi-jurisdictional litigation docketing support across the law firm. This role is client-focused and detail-oriented, requiring the specialist to handle a fast-paced environment with assignments of over 20 filings per day and six or more attorney requests. The position involves familiarizing oneself with local rules and conducting research as necessary, given the law firm's operations in over 100 jurisdictions. Responsibilities include leading and assisting with incoming court filings, reviewing legal documents to identify deadlines for Federal, State, and Appellate Courts, and making entries of litigation deadlines into the docketing database. The specialist will also generate docket reports, respond to queries from attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants, monitor cases using various online resources, and handle all case team inquiries efficiently. Additional duties involve assisting with team training, processing incoming litigation matters, leading high-complexity projects, maintaining team protocols, and supporting the Litigation Docketing Manager with advanced reporting and complex procedures.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Senior Litigation Docketing Specialist position must have a minimum of five years of experience in litigation docketing, calendaring, and civil procedure. A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required, or equivalent experience in a similar role. The position demands in-depth knowledge of litigation procedure, court websites, and litigation docketing software and procedures. Candidates must be capable of providing clear and concise training on litigation docketing processes and procedures. Additionally, the ability to handle and maintain confidential or sensitive information, work with all levels within the firm, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment is essential. Strong analytical, data entry, and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), are required.
Salary Information:
The law firm considers a candidate's education, training, experience, work location, external market, internal value, seniority, merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. The Colorado salary range for this position is to per hour. A discretionary bonus may be available based on performance.
