Job Overview:
A law firm based in Short Hills, NJ, is seeking an experienced eDiscovery Attorney to join its Litigation Support and Data Management team. This non-partnership role involves complex discovery matters and managing eDiscovery workflows across all phases of the EDRM. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented legal professionals with a strong command of legal technology, capable of coordinating large-scale projects, and collaborating effectively with internal teams and external vendors.

Duties:

  • Oversee eDiscovery activities across a range of litigation and investigation matters

  • Draft and negotiate protocols, stipulations, and legal agreements concerning discovery

  • Coordinate identification, collection, review, and production of electronically stored information (ESI)

  • Serve as liaison with case teams, clients, and technology vendors

  • Develop and maintain document review workflows, including quality control processes

  • Supervise contract attorneys and ensure adherence to review standards and deadlines

  • Provide internal guidance and training to support consistent and high-quality outputs

  • Forecast review budgets and track invoicing in collaboration with the legal operations team

  • Participate in team-building initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive working environment

Requirements:

  • Active Bar admission in New Jersey

  • Minimum 3-5 years of legal experience with substantial focus on eDiscovery (law firm, corporate, or government setting)

  • In-depth understanding of the EDRM lifecycle

  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments in fast-paced environments

  • Skilled in litigation technology platforms and legal data workflows

  • Strong communication, analytical, and leadership capabilities

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (.) from an accredited institution

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities

  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams

  • High attention to detail and commitment to legal precision

  • Effective multitasking, time management, and prioritization under pressure
