Legal Counsel, Product Verticals
Job Responsibilities
- Support the development of legal strategies for renegotiating key technology partnership agreements.
- Partner with senior counsel to draft and negotiate complex legal documentation, including significant modifications to existing agreements and new partnership templates.
- Collaborate on developing legal strategies that balance business objectives with risk mitigation.
- Advise business leaders by preparing and analyzing issues lists and providing consultation on legal alternatives.
- Collaborate on developing both short and long-range solutions to meet legal needs for assigned business groups.
- Build and maintain relationships with organization leaders and cross-functional collaborators.
Education and Experience Information
Basic Requirements:

- 5+ years of relevant experience supporting legal activities for a company, including complex contracting and partner agreements.
- Experience in corporate law services across the spectrum from basic legal documentation to complex agreements.
- Experience with business partnership and licensing agreements.
- Experience working with public companies and knowledge of relevant compliance requirements.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in software licensing and technology integration partnerships.
- Experience in one or more verticals: real estate, health and life sciences, financial services.
- Strong business sense with the ability to translate complex legal concepts for business partners.
- Proven track record in managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
- Excellence in drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Strong cross-functional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience in contract maintenance and renewal strategies.
- Understanding of association market dynamics and partnership structures.
- Demonstrated interest in technology law and startup environments.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Information
The pay for this position is based on several factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the pay ranges are as follows:
- California: $141, - $227, base salary
- Illinois and Colorado: $137, - $193, base salary
- Washington, New Jersey, and New York (including NYC metro area): $137, - $200, base salary
- Washington DC: $141, - $200, base salary
This role is also eligible for the following:
- Bonus: Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.

Additional Information
- This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Legal Director & Associate General Counsel, Product & Partnerships.
- The job designation is remote, meaning the employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.
