A law firm seeks an experienced Business Litigation Associate to join its dynamic team in Las Vegas, NV. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to work on complex commercial litigation matters in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, particularly in civil procedure, and be eager to further develop their skills in business disputes.

Duties:

  • Manage a variety of commercial litigation cases, including contract disputes, business torts, and other business-related legal matters.
  • Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and represent clients in hearings and trial preparation.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients and develop case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to assess case developments and formulate litigation tactics.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and depositions, ensuring efficient and effective case management.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial litigation or business-related legal matters.
  • Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation processes.
  • Experience in taking and defending depositions, along with court experience.
  • Admitted to the Nevada bar, or eligible for admission. Additional bar memberships (Arizona, California, or Colorado) are a plus.
  • Exceptional academic credentials and outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to the Nevada bar, or eligible for admission.
  • Additional bar certifications (Arizona, California, or Colorado) are a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of civil litigation and commercial legal principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective client interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal cases and litigation tasks efficiently.
