Job Title: 2 - 5 Year Litigation Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
The role of the Litigation Attorney at the law firm involves handling complex commercial and business litigation cases. The attorney will be responsible for managing various aspects of litigation, including but not limited to:
- Handling demand letters and responses.
- Engaging in motion practice and conducting thorough legal research.
- Managing client communications and overseeing client management.
- Conducting discovery and depositions.
- Making court appearances in both state and federal courts, as well as participating in arbitration and mediations.
- Engaging in trial work and demonstrating a strong willingness to take cases to trial.
Education and Experience Information:
The ideal candidate for the Litigation Attorney position should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in business, commercial, corporate, and/or employment litigation.
- Familiarity with state and federal court rules and procedures.
- Experience in drafting and filing pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and trial documents with meticulous precision.
- Ability to conduct document reviews and due diligence with a thorough examination of evidence.
- Experience assisting with client meetings and depositions, providing strategic support throughout proceedings.
- Ability to prepare compelling briefs and arguments, demonstrating persuasive advocacy for clients.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Trial experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with motions practice, depositions, and court appearances.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to manage a substantial caseload efficiently.
- Admission and good standing in the California Bar.
Salary Information:
The annual salary for the Litigation Attorney position ranges from $120,000 to $165,000.
