Job Title: Residential Real Estate Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
The Residential Real Estate Attorney will be responsible for handling residential closings for clients of the law firm. Key duties include:
- Reviewing closing documents for accuracy and legal sufficiency.
- Conducting residential real estate closings involving lenders, buyers, and sellers.
- Completing a thorough review of each assigned title search.
- Performing title curative tasks.
- Interacting with clients tactfully in high-pressure customer service situations.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school is required.
- Must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina; a South Carolina bar license is preferred.
- Must hold either a current appointment as a North Carolina Notary Public or have the ability to obtain such qualification prior to beginning employment.
- One or more years of residential real-estate law experience is preferred but not required.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
