Job Title: Tax - SAP Global Trade Services - Tax Consultant II
Job Responsibilities:
As a practitioner within the Global Trade Advisory Practice, the role involves helping clients maximize their SAP investments while positioning businesses for the digital economy. The responsibilities include:
- Delivering complex projects in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
- Leading and assisting in Customer and Sales Operations pursuits and practice development initiatives.
- Promoting and participating in forums to share expertise and strengthen collective knowledge.
- Collaborating on innovative solutions to enhance the future of the practice.
- Developing knowledge and gaining project experience in SAP's latest solutions, such as SAP S/4 and SAP GTS, Edition for HANA.
- Collaborating with clients and stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements for GTS projects.
- Leading and/or facilitating business process definition and modeling.
- Translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications for development and configuration.
- Coordinating with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation within SAP GTS solutions.
- Guiding a team to implement and configure software to replicate required business processes and analytical/reporting needs.
- Developing training materials and conducting training sessions for end-users and client teams.
- Ensuring SAP GTS solutions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and organizational policies.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery and support.
Education and Experience Information:
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, requiring co-location in person 2 – 3 days per week.
- 1+ years of relevant SAP consulting or industry experience.
- Good understanding of supply chain management processes.
- Experience in other SAP modules besides SAP GTS.
- Technical knowledge in ABAP and SAP PL.
- Bachelor’s degree in a legal, business, or technology-related field.
- Ability to travel up to 10-20% based on work, clients, and industries/sectors served.
- Active accreditations or willingness to obtain, such as CPA, Licensed Attorney, Enrolled Agent, US Customhouse Broker's License, CUSECO, or equivalent certifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience implementing SAP GTS Modules like Compliance Management, Customs Management, and Trade Preference.
- Education with SAP focus in areas like S/4 or ECC Sales and Distribution, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Material Master, Transportation Management.
- Software aptitude in PowerPoint, MS Project, Access, Excel, and/or Visio.
- Experience presenting to clients or decision-makers.
- Knowledge of export regulations including ITAR/EAR.
- Strong research, writing, verbal communication, and project management skills.
- Understanding of end-to-end processes and attention to detailed design.
- Strong team and organizational skills, with the ability to self-manage time and tasks.
Salary Information:
The wage range for this role considers various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications. The disclosed range estimate is $65,760 to $120,960. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, as compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. Additionally, there may be eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
