A nationally recognized immigration law firm is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to lead the preparation and review of responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and Notices of Intent to Revoke (NOIRs). The role focuses on family-based and humanitarian immigration applications and involves mentoring attorneys and non-attorney staff while ensuring the legal accuracy and quality of all filings. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients’ immigration journeys while collaborating with a high-performing legal team.

Duties

  • Review and respond to USCIS communications including RFEs, NOIDs, and NOIRs

  • Provide legal guidance and escalated support to non-attorney RFE team members

  • Identify emerging legal trends and policy changes impacting case strategy

  • Edit and finalize RFE responses prepared by attorneys and legal assistants

  • Deliver onboarding and ongoing training for RFE Staff Attorneys and legal support staff

  • Audit work product to ensure compliance, accuracy, and high-quality representation

  • Provide client-facing legal support, including advising on case-specific issues

  • Support case resolution through collaboration with cross-functional legal teams

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in family-based and humanitarian immigration law

  • Proven experience with:

    • VAWA

    • T-Visa

    • U-Visa

    • Medical Deferred Action

    • I-130 Petitions

    • Adjustment of Status

  • Prior exposure to USCIS correspondence including RFEs, NOIDs, and NOIRs

  • Ability to support and supervise a legal team in a high-volume setting

  • Strong understanding of current immigration procedures and agency expectations

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing with the bar of at least one . state

Skills

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and editing skills

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Detail-oriented and organized with a commitment to quality work

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to support team growth

  • Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and train others

  • Proficiency in tracking legal updates and applying them to practice

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required

  • Familiarity with immigration case management platforms is a plus
