The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in our Palo Alto, San Diego, or Washington, DC office. About Cooley's IP Litigation Practice:
- Our team has a proven track record of winning cases in the US and UK, with experience in all types of IP disputes.
- We handle cases in various venues, including district and appellate courts, international arbitration forums, and the US Supreme Court.
- Our London-based team has experience in all commercial divisions of the English High Court and Court of Appeal.
- We have a goal of swiftly resolving cases and getting clients back to business while positioning them for long-term success.
- Our clients include industry leaders and high-growth companies with vital products, technologies, and brands.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare cases from beginning to end with a focus on crafting compelling and persuasive stories about our clients' technology.
- Work closely with first-chair trial lawyers, former judicial clerks, and litigation support professionals.
- Attend practice group meetings and receive real-time feedback from lawyers on assignments.

Qualifications:
- Strongly preferred, but not required, technical degree.
- Must be a 2L law student.

Summer Associate Program:
- Hands-on training with meaningful experience.
- Real assignments, interactive skills training, and participation in practice group meetings.
- Reviewed at midpoint and conclusion of program, with real-time feedback from lawyers on assignments.

- 2025 compensation is $225,000 annualized, prorated for weeks worked.
- Clerkship bonus and/or advanced class year standing offered for eligible clerks.
