Job Title: Litigation Fellow - Fall 2026
Job Responsibilities:
The Litigation Fellow at the organization will engage in a dynamic and rewarding role, focusing on using their legal expertise to address government abuses and uphold individual rights. As full members of case teams, Fellows will collaborate with organization attorneys to develop and litigate creative and challenging constitutional cases in both federal and state courts across the United States. This role involves direct interaction with clients and participation in all stages of litigation. Additionally, Fellows will have opportunities for media writing, public speaking, grassroots activism, and advocacy to policymakers and legislators. Mentorship, media training, and a supportive legal work culture are integral components of this two-year fellowship.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates for the Litigation Fellow position should possess the following qualifications:
- 0-2 years of litigation experience.
- A strong background in constitutional law.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Judicial clerkship experience is strongly preferred, though not required. The organization offers tiered clerkship bonuses for candidates who have clerked at the federal district and appellate court levels, as well as the highest court in any state or the District of Columbia.
- Candidates must be barred in Texas or eligible to waive into the Texas Bar.
Salary Information:
Litigation Fellows receive an annual salary of $110,000. Flexible work-day schedules are offered, with two days each week allocated for remote work and up to four weeks annually to work from any location worldwide with WiFi access.
