Deloitte is seeking a Tax Manager with extensive first-hand knowledge in multiple areas of taxation. The successful candidate will be a leader and strategic thinker, able to deliver compliance and consulting services to individual clients and their trusts, estates, family offices, investment vehicles, charitable pursuits, and closely-held business concerns. This role also involves providing solutions to complex tax issues and leading client meetings on compliance and consulting projects.

The Tax Manager will perform high-level reviews of tax research and prepare and lead client meetings on compliance and consulting projects related to tax planning opportunities and the tax implications of transactions to the client. They will also train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors and be involved in marketplace eminence building and pursuits.

The Private Wealth team at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. focuses on the specialized needs of the ultra-affluent, including families with multigenerational wealth, entrepreneurs, family offices, and closely-held business owners. They provide comprehensive, independent, and objective wealth transfer planning advice and help clients make more informed, strategic decisions relevant to their personal financial comfort, business and investment needs, family legacy, and charitable giving during their lifetime and through estate planning.

Qualifications:

- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- 5+ years of public accounting experience (at least 3 years in investment management) or equivalent in law firms or industry
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- One of the following active accreditations obtained:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA
- If not CPA eligible:
- Licensed attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Certifications:
- Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA)
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM (preferred)
- Prior Big 4 experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting (preferred)
- Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents (preferred)
- Experience managing projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing (preferred)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent research and writing skills

Salary and Benefits:

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,980 to $169,650.

In addition, employees may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
