The **Members Only** is offering an exciting opportunity for undergraduate students to gain valuable experience and skills by volunteering with their agency. The position is unpaid, but it will provide students with the chance to be part of the inner-workings of a public defender agency and work closely with agency personnel.

As an undergraduate intern, responsibilities will include organizing records, reviewing and summarizing case information, and working on case-specific projects. It is important to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to a professional code of conduct in this role. Applicants must be 18 years of age, US citizens, or meet the requirements of the Administrative Office of the US Courts. Fingerprinting and a background check will be required prior to starting the internship, but a prior record is not necessarily disqualifying.

The Federal Public Defender is seeking students who can commit to 12-15 hours per week for one semester/quarter. The agency's goal is to provide volunteers with a meaningful experience and skill set that cannot be obtained in a classroom setting. This is an unpaid position and will not lead to an offer of employment.

Applications for the Fall Quarter are currently being accepted until August 23, 2024. The candidate is expected to start the first or second week of September. Students will be notified when their application package is received. To apply, please submit your resume, cover letter, two references, and a copy of your unofficial college transcript to undergraduate internship supervisors Megan Blumm, Debra Malcolm, and Patricia Stordeur at ****.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills while working with the **Members Only**. Apply now and be a part of the inner-workings of a public defender agency!
