Overview of Attorney General Agencies & Divisions:
- Education (K-12): The MSDE unit provides legal advice and guidance to the Maryland State Board of Education, the Maryland State Department of Education, and the Maryland School for the Deaf on a wide range of issues.
- Department of Education: Represents public agencies in administrative and court litigation in all areas of public education.
- Opportunities to work directly with attorneys, draft memos, research legal issues, participate in litigation preparation, and observe client meetings.
Description:
- Volunteer Law Clerk Program offers law students the opportunity to serve the citizens of Maryland in various legal fields.
- Perform legal research and writing, participate in witness and client interviews, and assist with litigation in Maryland's trial, administrative, and appellate courts.
