Job Title: Senior Estate Planning Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
- Handling all stages of estate planning and trust administration
- Conducting client intake and management
- Drafting, reviewing, and modifying estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, advanced directives, and funding documents
- Advising high-net-worth clients on various wealth transfer and asset protection strategies
- Implementing strategies for reducing estate and income taxes, as well as risk mitigation strategies
- Demonstrating familiarity with Proposition 13 and related statutes concerning real property transfers
- Preparing and reviewing technical memoranda for clients involving estate tax issues
- Competently managing complex estate planning matters in consultation with the estate planning team
- Researching various client issues, analyzing options, and proposing the best course of action
- Reviewing and monitoring the work of paralegals and legal assistants
- Experience with court appearances is a plus
- Corporate experience is a plus
- Evaluating fraudulent transfer and voidable transactions associated with the planning services provided
Education and Experience Information:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
- Foreign language skills are a plus
