Job Title:
Senior Manager, Washington National Tax - Compensation and Benefits
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide compensation and benefits-related knowledge management, tax planning, and diligence services. This includes executive compensation, equity arrangements, qualified plans, and employee benefits for a diverse range of clients, including corporate and private equity, as well as major multinational clients.
- Collaborate closely with other offices within the company to offer both technical and practical recommendations.
- Engage with other practice groups and member firms of the company globally to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
- Formulate and review tax memoranda and tax opinions to ensure compliance and strategic alignment.
- Draft, research, prepare, and advise on private letter rulings to support client needs.
- Conduct internal company courses and author articles related to compensation and benefits. Review articles and participate in other risk management activities to uphold quality and compliance standards.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of five years of recent significant experience in compensation and benefits tax-related roles, which may include experience in an accounting firm, the Internal Revenue Service, a corporation, or a law firm.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- Must hold a licensed CPA, EA, or JD/LLM, or another credential from the company's approved credential listing. Individuals who do not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials at the commencement of their employment are required to obtain one within a year from their date of hire.
- Demonstrated excellence in advisory and research skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex information to both colleagues and clients.
