Job Title: Technical Claims Supervisor - MCU
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver industry-leading technical claim handling and oversight, ensuring competitive claim outcomes and exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with Third-party Administrators (TPAs), Arch Claim Account Managers (CAMs), and other claim professionals to develop and execute appropriate claim resolution strategies.
- Work closely with underwriters, legal, operations, and other functions within the company to ensure effective communication and optimum claim outcomes.
- Prioritize effective and timely communication with insureds and brokers.
- Conduct coverage analysis, investigation, liability and damage evaluation, and manage indemnity and expense reserving.
- Handle litigation management, vendor management, settlement negotiations, including structured settlements where appropriate, and claim resolution.
- Maintain effective claim file documentation, coding, and diary management.
- Work with defense and coverage counsel to create and execute litigation/coverage strategies and budgets, and analyze legal bills.
- Provide effective and timely claim reporting to other claim professionals, management, and business stakeholders.
- Attend mediations, trials, and other proceedings.
- Maintain all required state adjustor licenses.
- Assist CAMs and others with TPA management and oversight, including staff training, sharing best practices, conducting claim file reviews and audits, and holding regular meetings with TPA claims staff.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 10 years of commercial general/auto liability claim handling experience, including complex and large exposure claims, or experience as an insurance defense/coverage practicing attorney with similar experience.
- Experience in trucking, construction, emergency service/medical professional liability claim handling is a plus.
- Experience in TPA management/oversight is a plus.
- Juris Doctorate desired, but not required.

Salary Information:
- Base salary range: $145,000 - $165,000/year.
- Position is incentive eligible.
