Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with foreclosure, consumer finance litigation, and bankruptcy practices.
- Represent companies and/or financial institutions in state and federal court, including district and bankruptcy courts, particularly concerning contracts, loan agreements, mortgages, and leases.
- Engage in legal analysis and writing, demonstrating strong analytical skills.
- Develop a civil litigation practice with a strong courtroom presence.
- Communicate and negotiate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Market and develop one's legal practice, showcasing self-motivation and initiative.
- Work collaboratively within an in-office environment.
Education and Experience Information:
- Must have a North Carolina Bar license in good standing.
- Ideally, should also have a South Carolina Bar license in good standing.
- Required experience includes two years in the relevant practice areas, with a preference for candidates having 2-4 years of litigation experience.
- Prior experience in a private litigation practice, with an understanding of the business aspects of managing a law practice, is necessary.
- Admission to North Carolina’s Federal Courts is preferred.
