Job Overview

A prestigious law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a skilled Corporate Healthcare and Life Sciences Privacy Associate Attorney with significant expertise in regulatory guidance within digital health. This role will involve complex advisory and transactional work on healthcare regulatory frameworks, data protection, and emerging AI regulations.

Duties

• Provide regulatory guidance to healthcare providers, digital health/technology companies, and related organizations
• Advise on compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging AI legislation
• Offer expertise on healthcare fraud and abuse laws, including Stark Law and anti-kickback statutes
• Draft and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with healthcare and data protection regulations
• Collaborate with clients to identify and manage regulatory risks in transactions
• Independently lead projects with minimal supervision, coordinating with multiple stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare regulatory and data protection law
• Background in advising digital health organizations on regulatory frameworks and compliance
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and drive matters forward efficiently
• Law firm experience with a strong focus on healthcare or life sciences clients

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active Bar membership in California or eligibility to obtain admission

Skills

• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on client engagement and service
• Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines
