A leading national law firm is seeking a Senior Real Estate Associate for its Atlanta office. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced attorney to join a high-performing and collaborative Real Estate practice group. The successful candidate will advise on complex real estate finance and transactional matters involving diverse asset types and play a key role in mentoring junior associates.

Location

Duties

  • Advise on a range of sophisticated commercial real estate transactions

  • Handle mortgage-secured and mezzanine financings, syndicated loan facilities (secured/unsecured), and development projects

  • Provide legal support on acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and equity/debt transactions

  • Manage deal execution, coordinate closings, and resolve transaction-related issues

  • Mentor and train junior attorneys within the real estate practice group

  • Collaborate directly with partners and clients on deal structuring and strategy

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of commercial real estate experience, including real estate finance

  • Strong preference for lender-side financing experience

  • Prior experience at a law firm handling complex real estate transactions

  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple matters concurrently

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, team-based environment

Education

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school

  • Excellent academic credentials required

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing of the Georgia State Bar

Skills

  • Excellent written communication and drafting abilities

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to legal detail

  • Proficient in managing transactional workflow and client interactions

  • Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines
