Job Title: Insurance Defense Attorney -- Bodily Injury
Job Responsibilities:
As an insurance defense attorney within the bodily injury (BI) unit, the candidate will be part of the motor vehicle insurance defense litigation team. The primary responsibilities include providing legal representation to the company's insureds and/or the company before courts and arbitration panels in all aspects of litigation. The attorney will handle cases from beginning to end, prepare legal pleadings, motions, statements, and trial briefs, and be involved in negotiating settlements. The role involves working closely with clients and claims partners to prepare timely reports on litigation, ensuring all appropriate defenses are leveraged to reach positive outcomes. Additional tasks include analyzing written discovery, depositions, medical records, and assessing the value of claims to determine risk exposure.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM) is required.
- The candidate must be admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania.
Salary Information:
- The compensation for the position ranges from $104,580 to $157,300 per year.
- There is a Gainshare bonus opportunity of up to 40% of eligible earnings based on company performance.
