Job Title: Director, Sr Corporate Counsel

Job Responsibilities:
The Director, Senior Corporate Counsel will be a vital part of the regulatory team within the department. The individual will provide legal guidance and support to the company on regulatory and compliance-related matters concerning DaVita Labs, a business unit of the company that provides clinical laboratory services. The primary responsibilities include:

- Serving as legal regulatory counsel and strategic partner with a focus on healthcare laws, regulations, and supporting payor relations and contracting.
- Collaborating with other attorneys and compliance teammates to assist business clients in identifying and resolving legal/regulatory matters related to business initiatives.
- Advising on compliance with federal and state healthcare industry laws and regulations.
- Supporting all aspects of the business related to their service offerings.
- Developing working relationships with business clients, legal, and compliance partners.

Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctorate degree with approximately 6+ years of experience in legal practice representing businesses and/or organizations in the healthcare industry. Clinical laboratory experience is preferred.
- Experience in providing legal counsel on healthcare business, corporate, and commercial matters in a regulated environment.
- Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and negotiating contracts and legal documents.
- Admission to at least one state bar and in good standing; Florida Bar membership is preferred, or eligibility to apply for Florida Authorized House Counsel.
- Substantial knowledge of the Medicare program and healthcare fraud and abuse laws and regulations.
- Strong transactional and drafting skills and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and priorities in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of maturity and professionalism.
