Job Title: Tax Senior, Specialized Tax Services Partnerships
Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Senior, Partnerships, your primary role involves using basic research skills and your educational background to guide clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, focusing on partnership-specific items. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing expertise in partnership taxation, understanding technical and practical issues.
- Participating in organizing and conducting external CPE training sessions in your area of specialization at least once a year.
- Training and mentoring interns and associates, including instructing them on the use of current software tools.
- Assisting in identifying research needs, framing issues for research, and reporting analysis clearly.
- Identifying complex issues for research and providing methodology for efficient research processes.
- Training interns and associates in research skills and involving firm specialists as appropriate.
- Assisting with developing, recommending, and implementing efficient methods to maximize client benefits, particularly by reducing their current and future taxes.
- Collaborating with leadership to recommend solutions, managing client expectations, and implementing applicable firm strategies.
- Participating in scheduling and managing workloads of interns and associates and supervising their day-to-day work on various projects.
- Reviewing work prepared by interns and associates and providing feedback.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for majors in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics.
- A Master's degree in Accountancy or Taxation is preferred.
- At least two years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting, or consulting/professional services experience is required.
- Specialized partnership experience and private equity experience at both fund and portfolio company levels are preferred.
License/Certifications:
- A CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is preferred.
- Other professional degrees or certifications applicable to the role are also preferred.
Software:
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance process software is preferred.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to delegate work effectively and possess strong analytical, research, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Capability to work well in a team environment and develop and maintain client relationships.
