Internship Applications for the Spring Session at the New Jersey Division of Law are currently being accepted. The program offers law students the opportunity to serve as interns during their Fall or Spring Semesters or during their Summer breaks. If accepted, students will be assigned to one of the Division's sections and will be supervised by a Deputy Attorney General, with overall supervision by an Assistant Attorney General.
Internship Schedule:
- Spring Session: January through April
- Application deadline: November 15
Internship Responsibilities:
- Perform a full range of law clerk duties, including research and writing
- Observe a wide range of lawyering activities
- Attend court proceedings, meetings with clients, depositions, and other special events
- Participate in training sessions offered to Deputy Attorneys General throughout the year

To be considered for a position in the program, law students must submit an Internship Application, resume, legal writing sample, and their most recent grade report to the appropriate recruiter.
The Division conducts interviews and extends offers on a rolling basis. If offered a position, interns must complete a Confidential Background Investigation Clearance Form.

- Consumer Fraud Prosecution Newark
The New Jersey Division of Law offers law students the opportunity to serve an internship during their Fall or Spring Semesters or during their Summer breaks. If accepted into the program, students will be assigned to the Consumer Fraud Prosecution section in Newark, where they will have the chance to work on cases related to consumer fraud. The section is supervised by a Deputy Attorney General and overall supervision is provided by an Assistant Attorney General.
