Job Overview:
A Hackensack-based law firm is seeking an experienced legal professional with a focus on estate planning and complex estate administration. This in-office role is ideal for a self-driven attorney admitted in New Jersey who is ready to work independently while contributing to a collaborative legal team. Professionals with a portable book of business or those transitioning from solo practice are especially encouraged to apply.

Duties:

• Handle sophisticated estate planning matters for high-net-worth individuals and families

• Manage probate and estate administration, including complex and contested matters

• Advise clients on tax strategies, charitable giving, and wealth transfer planning

• Guide elder law and special needs planning as applicable

• Collaborate with internal departments and professionals on client matters

• Maintain regular communication with clients to deliver updates and manage expectations

• Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and maintain accurate documentation

Requirements:

• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of New Jersey

• Experience in trusts and estates practice

• Demonstrated ability to manage estate administration independently

• Proactive approach with excellent time management and organizational skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities in legal contexts

• Ability to cultivate and manage client relationships effectively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic performance

Skills:

• Superior verbal and written communication abilities

• Keen attention to detail and high professional standards

• Familiarity with estate and tax software platforms

• Capacity to handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion
