Job Title:
Tax Senior, Specialized Tax Services Partnerships

Job Responsibilities:

Tax Specialization:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of technical and practical issues regarding partnership taxation.
- Participate in organizing and conducting external CPE training sessions in the area of specialization, involving specialists, at least once per year.
- Train and mentor interns and associates on using current software tools.

Research:
- Assist in identifying when research is needed, work with leadership to frame issues for research, and report analysis clearly.
- Identify complex issues for research by the engagement team and provide research methodology.
- Train interns and associates on research skills and help frame tax issues for analysis.
- Involve specialists as appropriate.

Tax Consulting:
- Assist with developing, recommending, and implementing methods to maximize client benefits, especially by decreasing clients’ current and future taxes.
- Apply tax and business/industry knowledge to collaborate with leadership on solutions.
- Work with leadership to maximize client benefits while managing risk.
- Assist with implementing applicable strategies and managing client expectations.

Other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Participate in scheduling and managing the workload of interns and associates.
- Supervise the day-to-day workload of interns on various projects.
- Review work prepared by interns and associates and provide review comments.

Education and Experience Information:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics preferred.
- Master’s in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.

Experience:
- Two or more years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting, or consulting/professional services experience required.
- Specialized partnership experience preferred.
- Private equity experience, both fund and portfolio company levels, preferred.

License/Certifications:
- CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA), or equivalent, preferred.
- Possession of other professional degrees or certifications applicable to role preferred.

Software:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
- Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance process software preferred.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capable of effectively delegating work as needed.
- Strong analytical, basic research, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
