Job Title: Tax Senior, Private Client Services

Job Responsibilities:

A Tax Senior in Private Client Services is responsible for providing tax compliance and consulting services to high net-worth clients. The role involves utilizing educational background and professional experience, along with communication, time management, leadership, technical, business development, and people skills. Key responsibilities include:

- Participating in tax and consulting engagements, enhancing skills to identify and address client needs.
- Collaborating with clients and their advisors to gather information for tax return preparation.
- Preparing complex individual, trust, estate, S-Corp, foundation, partnership, and gift tax returns for both Federal and State jurisdictions.
- Reviewing basic individual and trust tax returns, providing written and verbal feedback to staff and interns.
- Analyzing tax notices from government agencies and preparing initial drafts of responses.
- Identifying technical issues, conducting advanced tax research, and developing recommendations for PCS leadership.
- Operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment both independently and as part of a team.
- Prioritizing and completing tasks, and building new relationships within and outside the company.

Supervisory responsibilities may include supervising and managing day-to-day work assignments of PCS Associates, providing performance feedback, and acting as a mentor.

Education and Experience Information:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics is required; alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in another focus area with CPA certification is required.
- A Master’s degree in Accountancy or Taxation is preferred.

Experience:
- Two or more years of relevant tax experience and/or experience in public accounting, private industry accounting, or consulting/professional services is required.
- Experience in private client service is preferred.
- Prior basic supervisory experience is also preferred.

License/Certifications:
- CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a . jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) is preferred.
- Possession of other professional degrees or certifications applicable to the role is also preferred.

Software:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat is required.
- Experience with tax compliance process software (GoSystems, BNA Tax Planner, GoFileRoom, SurePrep) and tax research tools (BNA Portfolio, CCH IntelliConnect, Checkpoint, and Lexis Nexis) is preferred.

Salary Information:

Individual salaries offered to candidates are determined after considering factors such as qualifications, experience, skills, and geography. Salary ranges for different locations are as follows:

- California: $84,000 - $110,000
- Colorado: $72,000 - $90,000
- Illinois: $80,000 - $93,000
- Maryland: $85,000 - $90,000
- Massachusetts: $85,000 - $100,000
- Minnesota: $75,000 - $84,000
- New Jersey: $80,000 - $100,000
- NYC/Long Island/Westchester: $90,000 - $115,000
- Washington: $80,000 - $95,000
- Washington DC: $95,000 - $98,000
