An established national law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-stakes IP disputes across various industries and jurisdictions. Candidates should possess exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills, along with the ability to manage complex legal and technical matters.

Location:

Nashville, TN

Duties:

  • Represent clients in all stages of intellectual property litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate proceedings

  • Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and legal memoranda

  • Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategy

  • Manage complex discovery processes, including depositions and document review

  • Collaborate with legal teams across multiple offices

  • Participate in client meetings, trial preparations, and court appearances

  • Contribute to practice development and internal team initiatives

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in intellectual property litigation

  • Experience with Federal Circuit litigation is a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal and technical issues

  • Strong sense of initiative and commitment to teamwork

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

  • Strong academic credentials required

  • Law school and undergraduate (and graduate, if applicable) transcripts must be submitted

Certifications:

  • Active bar admission in the jurisdiction where the candidate intends to practice

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal writing and research skills

  • Strong oral advocacy and communication abilities

  • Analytical and strategic thinking

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities
