Job Title: Fall Law Clerk Program
Job Responsibilities:
- Engage in direct client contact to gain practical experience in client relations and case management.
- Conduct discovery review and organization to assist in the preparation of legal cases.
- Research and draft memorandums and motions to support attorneys in legal proceedings.
- Certified law students may have the opportunity to make appearances on the record, providing firsthand courtroom experience.
- Participate in a mock trial competition to develop litigation skills and learn the art of storytelling in a legal context.
- Engage in a team project to foster collaborative skills and produce a writing sample to demonstrate legal writing proficiency.
- Receive one-on-one career guidance counseling to assist with professional development and career planning.
Education and Experience Information:
- Law students who are selected for the program will be mentored by experienced attorneys.
- The program is open to law students in good academic standing who are highly motivated and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
- Candidates must maintain the highest ethical standards of confidentiality with respect to case details and conversations.
- Law School Graduates awaiting bar results are eligible for Post-Bar Senior Law Clerk positions.
Salary Information:
- Post-Bar clerks are paid positions, and applicants can apply through the appropriate department of Human Resources.
Program Duration and Requirements:
- Fall and Spring Law Clerk positions last approximately 12 weeks, requiring a minimum of sixteen hours a week. The Fall program begins on August 25 and ends on November 15. The Spring program starts on January 13, 2025, and ends on April 4, 2025.
- The Summer law clerk position is a full-time, 40 hours a week, clerkship lasting approximately 10 weeks, beginning on May 27, 2025.
- The program is highly competitive and seeks a diverse group of law students who understand the mission and objective of providing the highest quality defense to each appointed client and exhibit a strong background in service to their community.

- Applications are accepted from October 1st through March 31st, or until positions are filled, with interviews conducted for Summer, Fall, and Spring Law Clerk Programs.
