Job Title: Insurance Defense Attorney - Bodily Injury
Job Responsibilities:
As an insurance defense attorney within the bodily injury unit at the company, the primary responsibility involves providing legal representation for company insureds and/or the company itself in motor vehicle insurance defense litigation. The attorney will manage cases from inception through resolution, which includes preparing legal pleadings, motions, statements, and trial briefs. A significant part of the role is negotiating settlements and collaborating closely with clients and claims partners to prepare timely litigation reports. The attorney is expected to ensure all appropriate defenses are utilized to achieve favorable outcomes. Additional tasks include analyzing written discovery, conducting depositions, reviewing medical records, and assessing the value of claims to evaluate risk exposure.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor degree or Master of Laws (LLM) is required.
- Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania is mandatory.
Salary Information:
- Compensation ranges from $104,580 to $157,300 per year.
- Gainshare bonus of up to 40% of eligible earnings is available, contingent on company performance.
