SUMMARY:
King & Spalding, a leading global law firm, is seeking a Conflicts & Ethics Attorney to join their collaborative team in supporting the Firm’s new business intake function. The successful candidate will have a ., at least three years of legal work experience, and an active law license in the jurisdiction of the position. This is a full-time position with the option to work remotely, subject to approval by the firm. The primary work hours are from 12:30 . EST to 9:00 . EST, with occasional travel to the Atlanta office. The firm offers a generous total compensation package with bonuses and raises awarded based on performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review new business intake forms, conflict reports, and engagement terms to identify and resolve conflicts and ensure compliance with Firm policies.
- Draft and review waiver letters and engagement letters, communicating with lawyers and staff as needed.
- Advise on issues related to professional responsibility and conflicts of interest.
- Oversee the onboarding of transferring matters for lateral partners.
- Other duties or projects as assigned by the Associate Director of New Business Intake.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- . with an active law license in the jurisdiction of the position.
- Minimum of three years of legal work experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Working knowledge of professional conduct rules.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage a heavy workload.
- Previous conflicts experience preferred.
OTHER:
- Availability during primary work hours of 12:30 . EST to 9:00 . EST.
- Flexibility to work outside of standard schedule as needed.
- Periodic on-call rotation required.
- Option to work remotely, subject to location approval by the firm.
- Occasional travel to Atlanta office may be required.
