Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Responsibilities:

Pre-Litigation:
- Conduct legal research and case evaluations to determine claim viability.
- Work with case managers and investigators to gather medical records, police reports, and other evidence.
- Engage in client consultations and keep clients informed about case progress.
- Draft demand letters and negotiate settlements with insurance companies.
- Collaborate with attorneys and medical experts to assess injury causation and damages.

Litigation:
- Take and defend depositions of clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing parties.
- Draft discovery requests, pleadings, and motions.
- Argue motions in court and handle motion practice.
- Monitor case progress and develop litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
- Prepare for and participate in jury trials, including assisting with voir dire, opening/closing arguments, and witness examinations.
- Communicate regularly with clients, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel.
- Attend court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences.

Education and Experience Information:
- 1-3 years’ experience handling personal injury cases, including pre-litigation and litigation experience.
- . from an accredited law school and an active license in good standing.
- Bar licensure in both Illinois and Missouri required.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience handling courtroom motion practice is preferred.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
