Job Title: Internship Program, Fall - Florida Attorney General's Internship Program

Job Responsibilities:
- Interns will gain practical experience in the legal field by working on meaningful tasks that contribute towards their degree completion.
- Interns will be placed in various divisions such as Antitrust, Consumer Protection, Criminal and Capital Appeals, Civil Litigation, Complex Litigation, Civil Legal Services, Child Support Enforcement, Revenue Litigation, Ethics, Medicaid Fraud Control, Statewide Prosecution, Cyber Fraud Enforcement, and the Office of the Solicitor General.
- Interns will assist in the enforcement of state and federal laws, participate in civil investigations and litigation, and provide legal assistance in various legal matters.
- Interns may be involved in representing the state in various legal actions, including class actions, administrative hearings, court litigations, and appeals.
- Interns will have the opportunity to work on cases involving constitutional challenges, statutory interpretations, and high-impact legal issues.
- Interns will perform legal research, draft legal documents, and assist attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings.
- Interns may engage in consumer protection investigations, fraud prosecutions, and enforcement of ethics laws.
- Interns will collaborate with attorneys and other legal professionals in joint enforcement efforts and legal proceedings.

Education and Experience Information:
- Applicants must be law students enrolled in an accredited ABA law school.
- The program offers unpaid internships for academic credit or through law school-sponsored programs such as Pro Bono Programs, Law School clinics, or Law School Paid Stipend programs.
- Second and third-year law students are expected to provide a writing sample at the time of the interview if selected.
- Students must be able to intern a minimum of 20 hours per week or as prescribed by their law school.
- Applicants must submit an application, résumé, letter from an advisor or university confirming eligibility for academic credit or participation in a law school-sponsored program, and an official or unofficial transcript.

Salary Information:
- The internship program is unpaid, and interns will not be compensated or eligible for benefits other than Worker’s Compensation benefits.

Additional Requirements:
- Interns must complete a background screening, including a criminal background check, as part of the application process.
- Interns must acknowledge that they will not be compensated for their work and will serve on a voluntary unpaid basis.
- Applicants must provide documentation supporting their eligibility for academic credit or participation in a law school-sponsored program.
- Applications must be submitted by the specified deadlines for consideration in the desired term (Spring, Summer, or Fall).

Legal Terminology and Important Information:
- Interns will not receive compensation or benefits except for Worker’s Compensation.
