Tax Senior Manager - High Net Worth Tax
Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Senior Manager in the high-net-worth tax practice, the primary responsibilities include:
- Working with individual tax clients to assist them with the transition of wealth from one generation to the next.
- Interpreting and reviewing various legal documents related to estate and business succession planning.
- Conducting technical research on individual, trust, and estate planning and compliance matters for clients.
- Assisting individual clients with varied levels of income tax and estate planning knowledge.
- Examining the tax situation of individuals, their trusts, and estates from various angles to ensure maximum tax benefits.
- Implementing the planning process to create plans based on cash flow projections, distribution of income, business succession, estate preservation, and estate plan flow.
- Managing client relationships by proactively seeking solutions that add value to the client experience.
- Assisting in the preparation of marketing materials and presentations for internal and external webinar training.
- Preparing and reviewing individual, gift, estate, and fiduciary tax returns.
- Collaborating with staff to ensure tax returns are completed correctly by required deadlines and under company processes.
- Coaching and mentoring staff.
- Participating in business development activities.
- Working with the company’s Wealth Transition Services team on various projects.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, an active CPA license, law degree, or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting, including experience working with high-net-worth individual clients and their advisors.
- Expertise in individual income tax and estate tax planning is essential.
- Experience with flow-through entities and private foundations may be beneficial.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines is required.
- Experience in developing business and networking is advantageous.
- Authorization to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship is necessary.
Salary Information:
The compensation range for this position is between $150,000 and $190,000. The company’s compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay, complying with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions depend on factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
