Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters under the supervision of senior attorneys.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
• Assist in trial preparation, including gathering and organizing evidence.
• Attend court hearings and depositions as needed, providing support and insight to more senior attorneys.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates on case developments and manage expectations.
• Collaborate with other legal professionals and staff to ensure efficient case management.

Requirements:

• Strong academic performance and a solid foundation in legal principles.
• Exceptional research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Prior legal experience or judicial clerkship is preferred.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Vermont or eligible for admission to the Vermont Bar.
