OVERVIEW OF MARYLAND HIGHER EDUCATION COMMISSION
- Regulates all sectors of postsecondary education in Maryland
- Administers need-based state financial aid programs, loan repayment assistance programs, and state-sponsored scholarships and grants
- Two Assistant Attorneys General handle a variety of legal matters related to higher education, including advising, legislation, and regulatory enforcement
LAW CLERK PROGRAM DETAILS
- Opportunity to serve the citizens of Maryland in various legal fields
- Perform legal research and writing, participate in interviews, and assist with litigation
- Gain experience in criminal investigations, consumer protection, and counsel to state agencies
- Work with Maryland's trial, administrative, and appellate courts
