Job Title: Associate Attorney - Complex Litigation Practice
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation matters.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and briefs.
- Assist in trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and strategy development.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and depositions.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members on case strategy and management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the VA state bar and in good standing.
- 2-6 years of experience in civil litigation.
- Proven experience in trial preparation, legal writing, and research.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Experience in maritime, railroad, and construction disputes is a plus, but not required.
Salary Information:
- 100,000 - 125,000 / Yearly
Additional Information:
- Employment is in office, non-hybrid or remote.
- Candidates should plan to live within commuting distance of Norfolk, VA or have interest in relocation upon offer of employment.
