Responsibilities:
• Manage the **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. legal department and provide a wide range of services to support the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) portfolio managed by **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and external counsel to support compliance matters, perform due diligence, and draft transaction documents
• Evaluate internal processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement and leverage technology for efficiency
• Mentor and manage the legal department, including drafting and reviewing documents, negotiating transaction terms, and providing legal interpretations and assessments
Requirements:
• . degree and admission to the bar in at least one jurisdiction in the United States
• 10 years of large law firm experience representing developers and lenders of affordable housing developments
• Strong understanding of equity investments and tax credits in affordable housing
• Excellent strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Effective management and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and legal writing skills
• Client-focused and able to work with internal and external stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to leverage technology for efficiency
• Strong organizational and time management skills
