Job Title: Lead, Transformation Program Management - National Tax
Job Responsibilities:
The Lead, Transformation Program Management role is pivotal in Deloitte's Tax Transformation Office, which is dedicated to enhancing the delivery of Tax services through improvements in people, processes, and technology. The responsibilities of this role include:
- Collaborating with Tax subject matter experts, technologists, and stakeholders to manage project workstreams.
- Tracking and monitoring progress, ensuring timely reporting of milestones and dependency status.
- Monitoring risks and issues, escalating them to leadership as necessary.
- Preparing executive-level briefings and reports.
- Executing day-to-day project management activities to support tax transformation.
- Developing and managing project work plans, managing scope, and ensuring timely delivery of business outcomes.
- Identifying and managing risks, issues, and change requests, and facilitating formal decision-making.
- Engaging with Tax professionals to understand client service pain points and deliver process improvements.
- Conducting business process analysis and modeling using agile and design thinking techniques.
- Decomposing business requirements into functional requirements and collaborating throughout the technology delivery lifecycle.
- Conducting system and user testing, and performing business readiness assessments.
- Preparing and delivering learning materials, planning deployment activities, and providing hypercare support.
- Supporting pilot initiatives, driving adoption through change management and communication, and analyzing feedback to develop action plans.
- Decommissioning legacy systems.
Education and Experience Information:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or information technology-related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of consulting client experience.
- At least 3 years of experience leading project management teams, ideally in a professional services environment, focusing on strategy implementation, business transformation, and project management.
- Demonstrated understanding of standard system development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
- Ability to travel 25% - 50% a month, based on project work and phase of the delivery cycle.
- One of the following active accreditations obtained, in process, or willing and able to obtain:
- Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA.
- If not CPA eligible:
- Licensed Attorney
- Enrolled Agent
- Technology Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
Preferred:
- Experience in digital transformation.
- Smartsheet experience.
- Agile delivery and design thinking experience.
- Business process analysis and design experience.
- End-to-end technology project delivery.
- Training delivery and post-production client-facing support experience.
- Strong focus on deployment, adoption, and driving change.
- Experience in defining delivery standards.
- Working knowledge of data management and metrics.
- Experience in a professional environment developing polished presentations, talking points, and content.
- High proficiency in MS Office tools: Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, MS Teams, SharePoint.
- Strong communication skills and a champion of process and technology improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while delivering outstanding quality and meeting established deadlines.
- Process-driven thinking.
- Previous Big 4 experience.
Salary Information:
The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors, including skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,980 to $169,650. Additionally, candidates may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, where an award, if any, depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
