# Associate Family Law Attorney at The Matian Firm, APC The Matian Firm, APC is looking for an experienced and driven Associate Family Law Attorney to join its team in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will possess a four-year bachelor's degree, a three-year law degree from an accredited law school, and a minimum of three years of experience practicing family law. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred, but not required. ## Responsibilities - Supervise and direct mediation sessions and offer effective legal advice - Oversee and manage legal issues between family members - Draft, negotiate, and review court documents such as pleadings or witness statements - Manage a full caseload of family law cases of varying degrees of complexity - Open new files, create litigation plans, conduct discovery, make court appearances, and try cases - Uphold a steady schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences - Propound and respond to discovery, including Declarations of Disclosure, Requests for Production, Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, Requests for Admission, Subpoenas, and Depositions - Maintain exceptional client interaction ## Qualifications - Four-year bachelor's degree, along with a three-year law degree from an accredited law school - At least 3 years of experience as an attorney within Family Law - Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred, but not required - Experience with Case Management Software required - Active member of the CA state bar and local bar associations - Decision-making, public speaking and supervisory experience is required - Advanced proficiency in computer skills, reviewing reports, and budgets ## Compensation and Benefits The Matian Firm, APC offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
