Job Responsibilities:
The 2L Summer Associate (IP) will engage in a summer program that provides meaningful exposure to substantive legal assignments in the field of Intellectual Property. The program includes robust mentoring, networking, and learning opportunities designed to lay a strong foundation for a successful legal career. Associates will work within various departments, including Patent Prosecution & Litigation, Trademark, Copyright, Privacy & IP. The responsibilities will involve working on assignments that require technical expertise and legal acumen, contributing to various IP-related projects, and actively engaging in the firm’s professional environment.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates must be law students with technical backgrounds in fields such as electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or physics. An advanced degree in Chemistry or a . in any science/engineering field is also considered valuable, especially if it qualifies the student to take the Patent Bar Exam. Prior industry experience, patent prosecution experience, and a patent registration number are advantageous but not mandatory.
