Job Title: Senior Counsel, Operations

Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Counsel, Operations will be a crucial member of the legal team, providing essential legal support across various functions within the Operations department. The responsibilities include:

- Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial matters.
- Offering counsel to teams within Operations such as Contract Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Real Estate, and EHS.
- Managing and providing legal support and counsel on various business transactions and supplier issues, including overseeing dispute resolution.
- Effectively managing activities of paralegals, external counsel, and contract attorneys.

Core responsibilities further entail:

- Ensuring compliance with applicable Corporate Policies and procedures.
- Taking ownership of matters and projects, identifying legal issues, and resolving them in a timely and practical manner.
- Assisting other attorneys and stakeholders in resolving legal issues on cross-functional projects.
- Developing knowledge of the company's business and client concerns, while staying updated with changes in the law.
- Representing the company externally to customers, suppliers, and competitors.
- Utilizing negotiation skills and legal expertise to resolve legal issues.
- Selecting and directing the work of outside counsel.
- Managing and mentoring less experienced attorneys and paralegals.

Education and Experience Information:

- Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and state bar certification.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in corporate or general transactional law or litigation, ideally with a background in pharmaceuticals and/or healthcare.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating complex commercial agreements and counseling clients on a wide range of commercial business issues is essential.
- Beneficial understanding of legal issues related to compliance, intellectual property (IP), and the healthcare industry.
- Strong legal, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, innovation, risk assessment, drafting, negotiating, and client communication skills are required.

Salary Information:

- The base pay compensation range for this role is between $156,000 and $296,500, depending on factors such as geographic location.
- The role includes a comprehensive benefits package with paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) plan.
- Eligibility for participation in short-term and long-term incentive programs is provided.
- Note that compensation and benefits are subject to the company's discretion and applicable laws.
