ABOUT THE POSITION:
The company seeks a Trust and Estates Partner specializing in comprehensive tax, accounting, and consulting services for high-net-worth families. This role emphasizes tax planning and compliance for individuals, family investment partnerships, trusts, gifts, estates, private foundations, and other wealth management aspects. The primary responsibility is to assist clients in managing their overall tax picture, focusing on minimizing tax liabilities and ensuring smooth wealth transition to future generations. This position is crucial for safeguarding the financial legacies of high-net-worth clients, providing expertise in estate planning, taxation, and wealth preservation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and goals.
- Develop and implement sophisticated tax, gift, and estate planning strategies to minimize tax implications and accomplish family goals.
- Advise clients on charitable giving, philanthropic endeavors, and establishing family foundations or charitable trusts.
- Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies to minimize estate, gift, and inheritance taxes.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure clients' compliance with relevant tax obligations.
- Work with outside attorneys, assisting clients in protecting their assets through various legal means, including trusts, limited liability entities, and family partnerships.
- Collaborate with other legal professionals, financial advisors, and accountants to provide comprehensive wealth management solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in law, accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification required.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in private client tax, with a sub-specialty and focus in trusts and estates taxation and planning.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to trusts and estates.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interactions.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation:
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $250,000 to $500,000+, based on the individual’s experience level.
