Job Title: Mergers and Acquisition Partnership Tax, Senior Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and implementation of impactful tax strategies for complex transactions as part of the Merger and Acquisition Tax team.
- Guide significant projects and refine processes to maintain elevated operational standards.
- Engage with clients at senior levels to confirm project success and cultivate trust with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Encourage and guide teams to resolve complex issues while representing the company in community organizations.
- Develop and implement impactful tax strategies leveraging technical acumen to deliver quality results.
- Direct the team through complexity, demonstrating composure through ambiguous, challenging, and uncertain situations.
- Craft and convey clear, impactful, and engaging messages that tell a holistic story.
- Apply systems thinking to identify underlying problems and/or opportunities.
- Validate outcomes with clients, share alternative perspectives, and act on client feedback.
- Initiate open and honest coaching conversations at all levels and make difficult decisions to resolve issues hindering team effectiveness.
- Model and reinforce professional and technical standards, the company's code of conduct, and independence requirements.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience is required.
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.
- A Juris Doctorate (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation field of study may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- Juris Doctorate is preferred.
- Experience in leading consulting engagements in partnerships and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
- Knowledge and experience in partnership taxation and qualitative analysis.
- Proficiency in applying . federal income tax law.
- Ability to develop and sustain client relationships and prepare and present complex documents.
- Experience in leading teams, encouraging innovation, and utilizing digitization tools to enhance engagements.
- Ability to utilize advanced pricing strategy.
Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $119,300 - $328,000, with individuals potentially eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. Additionally, the company offers a wide range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, holiday pay, vacation, personal and family sick leave, and more.
