Key Responsibilities

- Work closely with partners and senior associates on a variety of complex mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions
- Conduct legal research and draft memos and other legal documents
- Participate in due diligence reviews and coordinate with other practice groups and departments
- Assist with negotiations and drafting of transactional documents
- Attend client meetings and calls, and provide support to clients throughout the transaction process
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and other legal professionals

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and/or private equity
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to the state bar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working on cross-border transactions
- Familiarity with securities laws and regulations
- Experience with drafting and negotiating transactional documents

Law Firm is seeking a highly qualified associate to join our Mergers & Acquisitions/Private Equity Practice in our Austin, Century City, or Los Angeles office. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a minimum of 2 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and/or private equity to join our team of experienced attorneys.

As an associate in our Mergers & Acquisitions/Private Equity Practice, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of complex transactions and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and/or private equity. You must also have a JD from an accredited law school and be admitted to the state bar. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are also required.

Preferred qualifications include experience working on cross-border transactions, familiarity with securities laws and regulations, and experience with drafting and negotiating transactional documents. A strong academic record is also preferred.
