Job Title: Senior Compliance Analyst - COI
Job Responsibilities:
The Senior Compliance Analyst plays a crucial role in maintaining the company's Compliance Program, providing regulatory interpretation, and managing compliance reporting. Key responsibilities include:
- Responding to external requests for information required for regulatory filings.
- Managing compliance reporting responsibilities and responding to inquiries from state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Leading ethics and compliance projects or implementations.
- Reviewing and synthesizing regulatory requirements to create policy and/or position statements.
- Assisting in managing the annual code of conduct attestation and remediation.
- Communicating state and federal requirements to internal and external clients.
- Providing development guidance and assisting in the identification, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Assisting in the identification, analysis, and resolution of compliance issues.
- Maintaining and reviewing regulatory documentation necessary to uphold corporate standards.
- Assisting in developing, producing, and conducting compliance training programs.
- Performing periodic compliance audits, risk assessments, and ongoing compliance monitoring activities.
- Assisting health plans in managing relationships with regulatory agencies and resolving policy issues that may impact service to members.
- Assisting management with interim health plan compliance officer responsibilities.
- Planning, directing, and coordinating the implementation of Compliance Committee policy to ensure decisions are properly executed.
- Serving as a company-wide resource and liaison on policies, contract issues and provisions, communications, workflow, and quality improvement initiatives.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related legal field or equivalent experience is required. A Master’s or Juris Doctorate degree is preferred and may be considered in lieu of experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of related experience in compliance privacy and/or regulatory affairs is needed.
- Experience in project management with a working knowledge of laws and/or regulations in the area of compliance, particularly HIPAA and state regulations, is essential.
