Regional Fiduciary Officer

Job Responsibilities:
The Regional Fiduciary Officer at the company is primarily responsible for providing advice, guidance, and training to Private Bank account teams and centralized units on technical fiduciary issues. This role supports sales efforts and administration processes across a fiduciary book of accounts within the company's risk profile. Key responsibilities include assisting account officers with the exercise of fiduciary discretion and the review of new business opportunities. The officer is also responsible for providing early intervention on fiduciary problems and risk matters. They serve as the primary resource for comprehensive fiduciary and technical advice relating to the administration of Private Bank fiduciary accounts. The role requires an in-depth knowledge of general fiduciary law and principles, trust and wealth transfer techniques, and federal and state laws/regulations pertaining to fiduciaries.

Education and Experience Information:
The desired qualifications for the Regional Fiduciary Officer position include a minimum of 5+ years of experience as a practicing Trusts & Estates lawyer in private practice and/or time employed by a bank, private wealth management firm, or trust company, performing a legal, risk, or fiduciary line of business function. A strong understanding of Delaware directed trusts is preferred. The candidate should have experience working with trust officers/fiduciary specialists and making fiduciary-related risk-reward decisions. Demonstrated ability to articulate positions intelligently and persuasively and influence decision-makers and management at all levels, as well as COIs and other external partners, is required. Technical expertise in areas of fiduciary, planning, tax regulatory, legal, and compliance is also necessary. The candidate should have a strong ability to work in partnership with other functions/roles, including Legal and Risk, and an understanding of when to escalate matters.

Minimum Education Requirement:
High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent
