Job Overview: A leading law firm is seeking a qualified and experienced Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Associate to join its growing Litigation & Trial Department. The role offers a dynamic opportunity for legal professionals passionate about patent litigation and working on complex, high-profile cases. Candidates with strong technical backgrounds in engineering, computer science, chemistry, biology, physics, or related fields are preferred.

Location:

  • Austin

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation in patent litigation cases.

  • Conduct legal research and draft briefs, motions, and other legal documents.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop case strategy and technical arguments.

  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and arbitration.

  • Analyze technical information and provide accurate legal analysis.

  • Participate in depositions and conduct discovery.

  • Manage client relationships and ensure timely communication.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in patent litigation.

  • Strong background in intellectual property law.

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Experience representing clients in federal court preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice in at least one . jurisdiction.

  • Admission to practice before the . Patent and Trademark Office (preferred).

Skills:

  • Technical proficiency in engineering, computer science, chemistry, biology, physics, or related fields.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and client management abilities.

  • Effective collaboration with legal teams and technical experts.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
