KPMG, one of the world's top tax firms, is seeking a Manager to join their State and Local Tax (SALT) practice in Dallas, TX. This role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of a dynamic team, working with high-profile clients and utilizing cutting-edge technology to create innovative tax solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide client-facing service to multi-national, United States headquartered companies with global indirect tax issues
- Conduct transaction analysis, supply chain reviews, and assist with business expansions
- Advise on mergers and acquisitions and manage less complex global projects
- Create responses to client proposal requests regarding global indirect taxes
- Prepare Value Added Tax (VAT) training presentations for external and internal audiences
- Identify, document, and recommend client business requirements for implementing VAT/sales and use tax compliance processes and system improvements
- Grow and manage new and existing client and internal relationships
- Develop and mentor new staff
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of recent experience working on global indirect advisory projects
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or a related field of study
- Strong technical awareness of global indirect tax issues and key indirect tax processes and data drivers
- Experience with advising on and/or implementing systems projects and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, or process mapping software
- Self-motivated with clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel up to thirty percent of the time
- Ability to develop and maintain existing internal and client relationships
