The Opportunity:

As a Counsel, you will have the opportunity to develop and apply effective trial skills and techniques to litigate cases, conduct legal research, draft pleadings and other documents, and build strong client relationships. You will also have the support of a national legal organization with a local focus, positioning you as a strong legal advocate and valued business partner.

What You Will Do:
- Handle a caseload of predominantly low to moderate complexity
- Develop and apply effective trial skills and techniques
- Conduct legal research and demonstrate strong legal writing and presentation skills
- Supervise research projects and delegate tasks to support staff
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery and other documents
- Attend court events and other appointments independently
- Provide recommendations and case analysis to clients
- Build and maintain strong internal and external client relationships
- Utilize available technology and automation
- Travel as required to meet business needs
- Provide advice and training to partners and clients
- Perform other duties as assigned

Our Ideal Candidate:
- 3+ years of WC experience, prior litigation practice or prior legal experience
- Active license in good standing to practice law in the state(s) in which representation is required
- Juris Doctorate; graduate of an accredited law school
- Strong research, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze legal issues and articulate positions clearly and succinctly
- Commitment to delivering high-quality legal work and professional development
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and others
- Sense of urgency and responsiveness
